CAM for Carbide Motion

Shapeoko and Nomad machines from Carbide 3D, run from Carbide Motion.

What the Carbide Motion post writes

  • M6 T<n> so Carbide Motion runs its tool change (and BitSetter, where fitted)
  • G20 / G21, G90
  • Arcs with I J; holes as moves

Files end in .nc. Every file is read back before export and checked against the simulated toolpath.

The plain GRBL post would only pause; this one lets Carbide Motion handle the change.

Not yet confirmed on a machine. This post follows the controller maker's documentation. Before the first real job, run the controller check in the air — or compare with a file that already runs on your machine (Export options → Check this post).
