CAM for FluidNC

ESP32 boards running FluidNC (MPCNC and LowRider builds, Jackpot, 6-Pack and many DIY machines).

From the maker's documents

What the FluidNC post writes

  • The Grbl set: G20 / G21, G90, arcs and helical arcs
  • Holes as moves (no drilling cycles in the FluidNC list)
  • M7 mist and M8 flood, M9 off
  • Tool changes as a pause (M5, M0) with the tool in a comment; no G43 (FluidNC has only G43.1)

Files end in .nc. Every file is read back before export and checked against the simulated toolpath.

Written from the FluidNC wiki. With a tool changer set up in its config, put T{tool} M6 in the tool change lines of a copy.
