CAM for ShopBot (OpenSBP)

ShopBot tools, in OpenSBP, the ShopBot language.

What the ShopBot (OpenSBP) post writes

  • A units guard that stops a file in the wrong units
  • Move speeds MS in units per second (as OpenSBP wants)
  • J / M moves, CG arcs, the router on output switch 1 (SO,1,1)
  • A pause for tool changes

Files end in .sbp. Every file is read back before export and checked against the simulated toolpath.

If your router or spindle is on another output, or uses C6 / C7, change it in the post editor.

Not yet confirmed on a machine. This post follows the controller maker's documentation. Before the first real job, run the controller check in the air — or compare with a file that already runs on your machine (Export options → Check this post).
