CAM for grblHAL
Boards running grblHAL, the 32-bit successor of Grbl (Teensy, STM32, ESP32, RP2040 and others; PrintNC and many retrofits).
From the maker's documents
What the grblHAL post writes
- The Grbl set: G20 / G21, G90, arcs and helical arcs
- Drilling cycles G81 / G82 / G83 / G73 with G98 (grblHAL has them on every driver), dwell P in seconds
- Tool changes as a pause (M5, M0) with the tool in a comment
Files end in .nc. Every file is read back before export and checked against the simulated toolpath.
Written from the grblHAL wiki. M6 depends on the machine's $341 setting and the sender, so it is not written; if yours is set up for it, learn the post from one of your files or put T{tool} M6 in the tool change lines of a copy.
