3D finish (beta)

Finishes the model after roughing: parallel passes, waterline round steep walls, steep & shallow, the flat floors, or pencil along inside corners.

Use it for: Finishing mould cavities, cores and 3D parts.
Tool: A ball nose (or a bull nose / flat end mill on gentle shapes).

Tips

  • A typical mould: 3D rough, rest roughing with a smaller tool, steep & shallow with a ball nose, flat areas with a flat end mill, rest with a smaller ball, pencil last.
  • Into-the-model is measured square to the surface; the checks replay the stock the operations before left.
